Live Music.

There’s always something so magical when we gather with one another. I mean, we’ve been doing this for hundreds of thousands of years, if not EVEN LONGER! It is in our bones. And when we come together, we do so in so. many. different. ways. We commune by the fire, inside our homes, out in nature, and in all sorts of public spaces: like theatres, festivals, parties, etc. The list goes on and on, because.. We are endlessly good at hanging out.

OAKRIS carries a special spark, one that charges the time we spend together with a gentle intimacy that harbors these wonderful, indescribable moments which can bring us together even more deeply than we ever expected, or knew to be possible. Below you will see some of the ways Oakris can offer these sweet gentle tunes in service of each beautiful experience you and I could co-create.

Spirit, sustenance, celebration, and song – these are the perfect elements to deepen your bond with those you know and to forge an unforgettable connection with those who you haven’t yet had the chance to connect with. Sunrise Garden, Sunset Coast.

An array of possibility.

Let’s enjoy ourselves some glorious sunshine, some soft notes and some especially crispy fresh air – all against a backdrop setting filled to the brim with nature at her finest. An event like this could even be the opposite of what I’ve said above. For example, we could set up somewhere in a garden at sunset, or on the coast at sunrise.

Really the possibilities are endless becasue we could even be in some other natural setting, like a forest or valley. Our goal here is simply to make up an enticing excuse to go be present outside and in the sun.  

Living Room Paradise.

How lovely would it be to have a small gathering of your closest friends – in the comfort of your own home – as you listen to live music made right there before your very eyes? Well it’s not too good to be true, I assure you of that! It is simply GOOD. It’s good to spend time with your loved ones, and it’s good to listen to the gentle, magical wonder of folk music, played live, right there in front of you.

Folk & Flow.

There is no better pairing to sweet gentle music than a yoga flow!

I’ll guide all participants through a lively vinyasa, followed by a brief 30-45 min performance of OAKRIS! In the past, I have collaborated with other yoga instructors and, instead of both guiding a class and performing afterwards, I accompany someone else’s vinyasa before entering into 15 min savasanna and song. So if you know someone who would like to teach alongside sweet folk music, we can make that happen!

This kind of an event also works well with massage, meditation, and other similar cultural arts.

Sound Healing Journey.

A combination of OAKRIS and other sound elements are woven together into an ocean of rejuvenation and emotional cleansing.

Cacao Ceremony.

A wonderful, heart-opening tradition from South American people. We will imbibe a delicious conconction of cacao, honey, & spices, and then we will have ourselves an extraordinary time as we make music and as we enjoy the amazing company that is there to enjoy.

Side note: I am developing a hiking journey from Cusco to Machu Piccu in Peru that will be centered around multiple cacao ceremonies. We will work with this medicine with traditional facilitators. If this piques your interest, you let me know! There is a wait list…

Purposeful Facilitation.

Do you have some other kind of event that isn’t like what I’ve described so far? I would be both highly ecstatic and entirely grateful to hold space, listen intently, and carry intention for the duration of the experience you are looking to create.

One on Ones.

These can be some of the most profound experiences of personal change and spiritual healing. Receiving gentle music directly from its source is so wildly intimate. This option is for the brave of heart and is not something I often do. I generally reserve this style of performance only for special circumstances, serendipitous encounters, and for loved ones whom I care for deeply.

Collaboration.

We are in this together, I am greatly enamored to work with any and all creative people who are doing similar work to what I am offering with this project. I am looking forward to discovering those wonderful souls who are open to meeting me in the spirit of reciprocity to grow in their artistry. It is a passion of mine to develop connections with everyone who is willing to meet me in this way.

Skill Trade

Skill trades are both deeply rewarding and a fun way to set aside monetary exchange to see how it influences our collective creativity. I find this to be an incredible trust  and friendship building exercise and usually involves a fair bit of verbal negotiation and renegotiation (for when life gets in the way). I’ll go first.

Barter

Just like with a skill trade, this is a fun way to celebrate one another and to both come out ahead in our collaboration. This often includes exchanging gifts and services, of course, but also conversation and company.

Direct Collaboration

I find this to be the most fun option, it usually involves us working mutually toward goal with a unified creative vision as well. We’d establish a verbal agreement, perhaps even something written as well, to outline what we will do and how we will do it.

Work-For-Hire

If you prefer a succinct and professional encounter, or if you wish to only be quietly recognized for your work (or even to be not named at all) this is the way to go. Every creative project has people who work behind the scenes to make things happen. I myself have a wonderful group of people who have been encouraging, and helpful, and have been by my side in my personal life as well as professionally.
